STUDY SECRETARY – WOMEN'S DESK

 

Candidate must be a woman with deep commitment to and understanding of women’s struggles. She should be capable of articulating their concerns to both Students and Senior Friends in the university, Church and Society. The candidates should be capable of networking with movements of other vulnerable sections of the society and deal with women’s concerns/issues in the larger context of oppressive structures such as caste, class, gender etc.

 

a. Candidates must have a deep Christian commitment, must be below the age of 30 years and should have a minimum qualification of a degree in any discipline.

 

b. Preference will be given to candidates with

  • SCM background and involvement
  • Good academic background
  • Proven ability in writing and verbal communications
  • Training/Experience in chosen field of activity
  • Proficiency in Hindi/ English
  • Good Theological Perspective
  • Basic computer skills

 

c. Successful candidate must be prepared to travel widely in India and may be posted in any part of the country


d. The appointment is initially for one year (probation) with possibility of service for maximum period of three years


Salary: 3175-200-4175-250 with DA – 15% of Basic, HRA – Rs. 650/-, CCA – Rs. 650/-. Deductions: PF – 12% of Basic + DA and Term based benefit – Rs. 100/- pm.

Candidate must be with good theological perspective, ecumenical exposure and openness to relate to students from various backgrounds. Candidates should be able to facilitate Bible Studies and should have basic knowledge of Human Rights in order to enable students to have a critical understanding and creative participation in the total life of the University.
